NEW! Christmas Cards for 2011
Bearing an image of the Visitation of the Magi from Images of Scriptural History by Jesuit artist Jerome Nadal (1507-1580), these cards are unique in their inclusion of a Latin text from the liturgy proper to the feast (with English translation on overleaf). Printed in black on fine cream-colored stock with accent of border in crimson; matching envelopes. These cards are reserved in appearance – a welcome contrast to the commercialism that secularizes so many modern-day observances of this great feast.
Translation of Latin text for the 2008 Christmas cards: “The kings of Tharsis and of the isles shall give presents: the kings of Arabia and Saba shall bring gifts: all kings shall adore Him; all nations shall do Him service.” [Offertory at Mass, the Epiphany of Our Lord]
