As described by Michael Davies, President of the International Una Voce Federation, the recordings of the Saint Gregory Society encompass the whole Mass with Epistle, Gospel, Preface, Pater Noster, and every antiphon and collect. A beautifully produced booklet contains the entire Mass in Latin and English, with very informative explanations of the liturgy and the music. “The Society of Saint Gregory should be a source of pride and encouragement to every traditional Catholic. Anyone faced with the question: ‘Why the Tridentine Mass?’ should reply by playing a St. Gregory Society recording.” In addition, our widely respected series of publications presents to the public distinctive and unique items that reflect the life of faith and offer the inspiration that flows from the presence of the Traditional Liturgy in our lives. Whoever has searched recently for an inspiring gift for a friend, useful aids to devotion, greeting cards truly appropriate for the Holy Days and sacramental occasions of our Faith, or a small remembrance for presentation at First Holy Communion or Confirmation will welcome this series of publications, classic in their design and traditional in their content.

Solemn Mass of Easter Day
Solemn Mass of Easter DayMusic for this Queen of Feasts includes the Gregorian chant proper Resurrexi along with polyphony by the Italian master Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. Motets by Verdelot and Gascogne are included as anthems sung during the offertory and communion, respectively.

Translation:

“This recording reflects a great reverence in the interpretation of both the gregorian selections and the Mass of Palestrina. By just listening one is enveloped in an atmosphere of prayer and of profound devotion. One easily imagines all that such music can inspire in its proper setting, in the unfolding of the liturgical action, in the joyous solemnity of Easter morning.”
