Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Our calendar for the next two Sundays is as follows:

* Good Shepherd Sunday
Sunday, April 26th. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. John Ringley (St. Lawrence, Shelton). The chant schola
will sing the “Missa Lux et origo” (Mass I), the plainsong hymn
“Ad regias Agni dapes”, the antiphon “Regina caeli”, and all the
proper Gregorian chants. The second offering will go to support
the work of the Saint Gregory Society.

* Third Sunday after Easter
Sunday, May 3rd. Low Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Robert Boyd (St. Mary’s, Norwalk).

ALL MASSES TAKE PLACE IN SACRED HEART CHURCH,

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Apologies for the lateness of this week’s email bulletin.

Our calendar for the next two Sundays is as follows:

* Octave of Easter (Low Sunday)
Sunday, April 19th. Low Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Thomas Longua of the FSSP. The second collection
is a special Archdiocesan collection.

* Good Shepherd Sunday
Sunday, April 26th. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated

SGS News - Good Friday

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

As in years past, Good Friday will be observed in the traditional form
of the Roman Rite at Sacred Heart Church in New Haven. The Liturgy
will take place at 11am (not at 12pm, as in some previous years).
The celebrant will be Fr. Robert Boyd (St. Mary’s, Norwalk). The
men’s Schola will sing all the proper Gregorian chants, as well as
Victoria’s setting of the Reproaches.

Best wishes for a blessed Triduum.

SGS News - Palm Sunday

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Holy Week is nearly upon us. As you probably know, Palm Sunday
and Easter have always been observed with special solemnity by
the Saint Gregory Society. Please join us for for these holiest days
of the Church year. There is no better time of year than Holy Week
to experience the Latin Mass in all of its depth and splendor,
whether it be for the first time or just the first time in a long time.
Therefore we would like to encourage you to bring your friends and
families to Sacred Heart Church at some point during this coming
week, and to join us as we “draw water joyfully from the font of
salvation”.

A separate email notice about the Good Friday liturgy will be
forthcoming early next week.

Our schedule for the next two Sundays is as follows:

* Palm Sunday
Sunday, April 5th. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Robert Boyd (St. Mary, Norwalk). The full Schola
Cantorum of the Society will sing Orlando di Lasso’s “Missa
Je suis d=E9sh=E9rit=E9e”; motets by Victoria (”Pueri Hebraeorum”),
Palestrina (”Nos autem gloriari”), and Lasso (”Tristis est anima
mea’); and all the proper Gregorian chants for the Procession
and Mass of Palm Sunday. The second collection will benefit
Sacred Heart parish (monthly utilities).

* Easter Sunday
Sunday, April 12th. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Robert Boyd (St. Mary, Norwalk). The full Schola
Cantorum of the Society will sing Palestrina’s “Missa
