SGS NEWS - The Third Sunday after the Epiphany

*The Third Sunday after the Epiphany
Sunday, 23 January: Solemn Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. Dennis Kolinski. S.J.C. Music for the liturgy to be performed
by the Chant Schola of the Society will include the “Missa de Angelis
(Vatican edition VIII), seasonal chant anthems, and the Gregorian
chants of the day. The second offering will be for the benefit
of the St. Gregory Society.

*Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany
Sunday, 30 January: Low Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. Matthew Mauriello, St. Roch Church, Greenwich.
The second offering will be for the benefit of the St. Gregory
Society.

*The Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Candlemas)
Sunday, 30 January: Solemn Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. John Pikulski. Music for the festive celebration will
include Palestrina’s Missa Veni Sponsa Christi, motets
by Palestrina, Victoria and Lasso, and the Gregorian chants of
the feast. The second offering will be for the benefit of Saint
Stanislaus Church.

N.B. We have been informed by our friends at Holy Apostles Seminary
in Cromwell, CT, that The Most Reverend Joseph N. Perry, Auxiliary
Bishop of Chicago, will celebrate a traditional Latin Solemn Mass in the
New Chapel at Holy Apostles Seminary in Cromwell, CT, on Monday
February 7, at 11:00 A.M. All are cordially invited to attend.

*The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph
Sunday, 9 January: Solemn Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. John Ringley. St. Laurence Church, Shelton.
Music for the liturgy to be performed by Chant Schola of the
Society will include the “Missa Marialis” (Vatican edition IX/X),
Christmas anthems, and the Gregorian chants of the day.
The second offering will be for the benefit of the St. Gregory Society.
