SGS NEWS - Holiday Schedule of Latin Masses at St. Stanislaus Church, New Haven

*Christmas Day
Saturday, 25 December: Solemn Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. John Pikulski. Music for the liturgy to be performed
by Chant Schola of the Society will include the “Missa de Angelis”
(Vatican edition VIII) the hymn “Corde natus ex parentis,” the Latin
carols “Resonet in laudibus” and “Puer natus est”, and the Gregorian
chants of the Third Mass of Christmas (Christmas Day). The second
offering will be for the benefit of the St. Gregory Society.

*Sunday within the Octave of Christmas
Sunday, 26 December: Low Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. Matthew Mauriello, St. Roch Church, Greenwich.
The second offering will be for the benefit of the St. Gregory Society.

*Octave Day of Christmas
Saturday, 1 January: Low Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. Matthew Mauriello, St. Roch Church, Greenwich.
The second offering will be for the beneifit of St. Stanislaus Church.

*The Most Holy Name of Jesus
Sunday, 2 January: Low Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. Stanley Miekina, St. Stanislaus Church.
The second offering will be for the beneifit of St. Stanislaus Church.

*The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph
Sunday, 9 January: Solemn Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. John Ringley. St. Laurence Church, Shelton.
Music for the liturgy to be performed by Chant Schola of the
Society will include the “Missa Marialis” (Vatican edition IX/X),
Christmas anthems, and the Gregorian chants of the day.
The second offering will be for the benefit of the St. Gregory Society.


SGS News - Festive Celebration of Gaudete Sunday

*Third Sunday in Advent or Gaudete Sunday
Sunday, 12 December: Solemn Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. John Pikulski. Music for the festive liturgy to be performed
by the full choir of the Schola Cantorum of the Saint Gregory Society
will include Tomás Luis de Victoria’s Missa Ave maris stella, motets by
Victoria and Guerrero, and the Gregorian chants of the day. The second
offering will be for the benefit of the St. Gregory Society.

*Fourth Sunday of Advent
Sunday, 19 December: Low Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be celebrated
by The Rev. Dennis Perkins. The second offering will be for the
benefit of the St. Gregory Society.

CHRISTMAS DAY
Saturday, 25 December: High Mass at 2:00 P.M., to be
celebrated by The Rev. John Pikulski. The Schola
Cantorum of the Society will chant the Mass of Christmas
Day (”Puer natus est”) along with Latin Christmas
anthems.
