* Fourth Sunday after Easter
Sunday, 2 May, at 2:00 p.m., Solemn Mass to be celebrated
by the Rev. Richard Cipolla, St. Mary’s Church, Norwalk.
Music for the service, sung by the Chant Schola the Society,
will include include ordinary chants from Vatican edition Masses
I and X, the responsory “Isti sunt agni,” and the Gregorian chants
of the day.

* Fifth Sunday after Easter
Sunday, 9 May, at 2:00 p.m. Low Mass. Celebrant to be
announced.

SGS NEWS — Second Sunday after Easter & Requiem Mass for Polish crash victims

* Second Sunday after Easter
Sunday, 18 April at 2:00 p.m. Low Mass to be celebrated
the Rev. Matthew Mauriello, St. Roch Church, Greenwich.

* SPECIAL REQUIEM MASS - PLEASE ATTEND
Friday, 23 April, at 7:00 pm. A Solemn Requiem Mass
will be offered for the repose of the souls of the victims
of the recent crash in Russia of a plane whose passengers
included the President and First Lady of Poland, along with
many other Polish dignitaries. The Rev. Stanley Miekina will be
the celebrant. Music to be sung by the Chant Schola of the
Society will include the Gregorian chant Requiem Mass and
polyphonic motets.

We strongly urge the members and friends of our society
to make every effort attend this service to show our solidarity
with the parishioners of St. Stanislaus Church, who have been deeply
affected by this tragic disaster and who have been so welcoming
of our Society and the Latin Liturgy in their church.

* Third Sunday after Easter
Sunday, 25 April at 2:00 p.m. Solemn Mass to be celebrated
the Rev. John Ringley, St. Lawrence Church, Shelton.
Music for the service, sung by the Chant Schola the Society,
will include include ordinary chants from Vatican edition Masses
I and X, the hymn “Ad coenam agni providi,” the antiphon
“Regina caeli,” the short responsory “Surrexit Dominus vere,”
and the Gregorian chants of the day.

SGS NEWS — Holy Week in Society’s 25th Jubilee Year

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Holy Week concludes in the services in the Traditional Liturgy
to be celebrated at St. Stanislaus Church in New Haven.

* Good Friday
Friday. 2 April, at 12:00 Noon. Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday,
to be celebrated by the Rev. John Ringley, St. Lawrence
Church, Shelton. Lessons & Collects, Chanting of the Passion,
Veneration of the Cross & Mass of the Presanctified. Music
for the service, sung by the Schola Cantorum of the Saint
Gregory Society will include Gregorian chants, motets and
Victoria’s Reproaches.

* Easter Day
Sunday, 4 April, at 2:00 pm. Solemn Mass and Benediction of the
Blessed Sacrament to be celebrated by John Ringley,
St. Lawrence Church, Shelton. Music for this festive service
to be sung by the full Schola Cantorum of the Saint Gregory
Society will include Palestrina’s Missa Regina caeli,
motets by the French Renaissance masters Verdelot and
Gascogne, the Gregorian chants of the day, and Benediction
hymns.
