Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Our longtime celebrant Fr. Greg Markey, pastor of St. Mary’s Church
in Norwalk, CT, will offer a Solemn Mass of thanksgiving on the occasion
of the 10th anniversary of his ordination to the sacred priesthood, this
Sunday, May 24th, at 9:30am. Those of you who know Father will not be
surprised to learn that this Mass will be celebrated in the traditional form.
The St. Mary’s Schola Cantorum will sing Victoria’s Missa “Ascendens
Christus” for five voices; motets by Palestrina, Josquin, and Biebl; and all
of the proper Gregorian chants for the Sunday. The Women’s Guild will
host a reception afterwards in the parish hall. Directions to the church
may be found at the St. Mary’s website: http://www.stmarynorwalk.net/.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to
Fr. Markey for his years of service to our Society. Please join us in prayer
that God will continue to bless his ministry, and in particular his tireless
work for the cause of the Church’s traditional liturgy, which we all hold so
dear.
