SGS News - Quinquagesima Sunday

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Note that there will be no traditional Mass at Sacred Heart on
Ash Wednesday. The Society of St. Hugh of Cluny has a post
listing area churches where such Masses may be found (sadly
there are not many of them yet — please notify the SSHC with
any additions, they will surely be grateful to know of them):

Our schedule for the next two Sundays is as follows:

* Quinquagesima Sunday
Sunday, February 22nd. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Robert Boyd (St. Mary, Norwalk). The chant schola
will sing the “Missa Orbis factor” (Mass XI), the plainsong
hymns “O quam glorifica” and “Lucis Creator optime”, and all
the proper Gregorian chants. The second offering will go to
support the work of the Saint Gregory Society.

* First Sunday in Lent
Sunday, March 1st. Low Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Robert Boyd (St. Mary, Norwalk).

ALL MASSES TAKE PLACE IN SACRED HEART CHURCH,
NEW HAVEN (COLUMBUS AVENUE AT LIBERTY STREET,
NEAR UNION STATION).
