SGS News Extra - Fr. Markey to teach a course on the traditional Mass

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

We are delighted to help spread the word about a special series of
four classes on the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, to be taught
by our longtime celebrant and friend Fr. Greg Markey of St. Mary’s
Church in Norwalk. The classes will be held on successive Monday
nights from 7:45 - 9:00pm starting TOMORROW, April 21st, at Fr.
Markey’s parish. The course will be based on the new book by Thomas
Woods, “Sacred Then and Sacred Now”:

http://www.booksforcatholics.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=B&Product_Code=9780979354021&Category_Code=The_Mass

Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the highly
discounted price of $10 per copy. This book is something that many
traditional Catholics will want to own — by all accounts, it is an
excellent resource to share with friends and family who, having little
or no experience in these matters, want to understand the reasons for
our attachment to the older form of Mass. And at some 40% off the list
price, the book alone is worth the trip down to Norwalk!

Needless to say, please do your part to share the news of this course
with anyone who might be interested. All are welcome, and no doubt Fr.
Markey would be grateful to see some familiar faces from the Saint
Gregory Society in attendance.

St. Mary’s Church is easily accessible from all the major roads, and
just a minute from Exit 15 on I-95S; directions and maps can be found
on the parish’s website:
