SGS News - Palm Sunday

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Holy Week is nearly upon us. As you probably know, Palm
Sunday and Easter are always observed with special solemnity
by the Saint Gregory Society. Please join us for for these
holiest days of the Church year. There is no better time of year
than Holy Week to experience the Latin Mass in all of its depth
and splendor, whether it be for the first time or just the first time
in a long time. Therefore we would like to encourage you to bring
your friends and families to Sacred Heart Church at some point
during this coming week, and to join us as we “draw water
joyfully from the font of salvation”.

Our calendar for the next two Sundays is as follows:

* Palm Sunday
Sunday, March 16th. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Richard Cipolla (St. Mary’s, Norwalk). The full Schola
Cantorum will sing Lasso’s Missa “Douce m=E9moire”, motets
by Victoria, Palestrina, and Lasso, and all of the proper
Gregorian chants. The second collection will go to support
the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal.

* Easter Sunday
Sunday, March 23rd. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by the pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Fr. Jim Richardson.
The full Schola Cantorum will sing Palestrina’s Missa
“Regina caeli”, motets by Verdelot and Gascogne, and all of
the proper Gregorian chants.

ALL MASSES TAKE PLACE IN SACRED HEART CHURCH,
