SGS News - Easter Sunday
Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,
The Officers of the Society would like to take this opportunity
to wish you a holy Triduum and a joyous Easter.
Our calendar for the next two Sundays is as follows:
* Easter Sunday
Sunday, March 23rd. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by the pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Fr. Jim Richardson.
The full Schola Cantorum will sing Palestrina’s Missa
“Regina caeli”, motets by Verdelot and Gascogne, and all of
the proper Gregorian chants. The second offering will go to
support the work of the Saint Gregory Society.
* Octave of Easter (Low Sunday)
Sunday, March 30th. Low Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated by
Fr. Kevin Fitzpatrick (Holy Cross, Fairfield).

Some people have been asking if the full Triduum is observed
in the traditional form at Sacred Heart Church. Regrettably, it
is not. As far as we are aware, the closest places outside of
northern New Jersey where either some or all of the Triduum
is celebrated in the Extraordinary Form are the Boston area
and Troy, NY. The details are as follows (PLEASE double-
check before making the trip — we can make no guarantees
of the accuracy of all of this information):
