SGS News - Third Sunday in Lent

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Please note the special plans for Laetare Sunday, and kindly do
your part to help us spread the word. Many thanks!

Our calendar for the next two Sundays is as follows.

* Third Sunday in Lent
Sunday, February 24th. Low Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. John Ringley (St. Lawrence, Shelton). The second
offering will go to support the work of the Saint Gregory Society.

* Fourth Sunday in Lent (Laetare)
Sunday, March 2nd. Solemn Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Robert Boyd (St. Mary’s, Greenwich); the deacon and
homilist will be Fr. Richard Cipolla (St. Mary’s, Norwalk). The
full Schola Cantorum will sing Josquin’s Missa Pange lingua,
motets by Allegri (the “Miserere”) and Tallis, and all of the proper
Gregorian chants. The Mass will conclude with benediction. The
music has been sponsored by Christine M. Beach, and per her
request the Holy Sacrifice will be offered for all those who are
estranged from the Catholic Church. Please bring family and
friends, and join us in prayer that day for this worthy intention!

ALL MASSES TAKE PLACE IN SACRED HEART CHURCH,
NEW HAVEN (COLUMBUS AVENUE AT LIBERTY STREET,
NEAR UNION STATION).
