SGS News - The Most Holy Rosary of Our Lady

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Thanks to all who turned out last Sunday for a memorable
celebration of Michaelmas, and of course of the Pope’s
Motu proprio!

This Sunday we are delighted to welcome for the first time
as a celebrant at Sacred Heart a young priest from
St. Lawrence parish in Shelton, Fr. John Ringley. If memory
serves, Fr. Ringley was ordained about five years ago. He
has taken an active interest in the traditional Mass, and is
also well known in the diocese of Bridgeport for his work
teaching the school children in his parish the basics of Latin
and Gregorian chant. We hope that you will join us in giving
him a warm welcome to the Saint Gregory Society!

Our schedule for the next two Sundays is as follows:

* The Most Holy Rosary of Our Lady
Sunday, October 7th. Low Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. John Ringley (St. Lawrence, Shelton). The second
collection is for the benefit of Sacred Heart Church (monthly
utilities).

* Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost
Sunday, October 14th. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Richard Cipolla (St. Mary’s, Stamford). Seeing as the
month of October is devoted to Our Lady, the chant Schola
will sing Mass IX (”Cum iubilo”), Marian hymns, and all the
proper Gregorian chants.

ALL MASSES TAKE PLACE IN SACRED HEART CHURCH,
NEW HAVEN (COLUMBUS AVENUE AT LIBERTY STREET,
NEAR UNION STATION).
