Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Our schedule for the next two Sundays is as follows:

* Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost
Sunday, September 23rd. Low Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated
by Fr. Kevin Fitzpatrick (Holy Cross, Fairfield). The second
collection is for the benefit of the Archdiocesan HOPES
campaign (”Help Our Parish Elementary Schools”).

* St. Michael the Archangel (Michaelmas)
Sunday, September 30th. Solemn High Mass at 2pm, to be
celebrated by Fr. Greg Markey (St. Mary’s, Norwalk). In joyful
response to the coming into effect of Pope Benedict’s Motu
proprio “Summorum Pontificum”, the Society is delighted to
announce that its full Schola Cantorum will perform Palestrina’s
Missa “Sacerdos et Pontifex” (in honor of the Holy Father!),
motets by Palestrina, and all the proper Gregorian chants for
Michaelmas. You are cordially invited to a reception to be given
in the former convent adjacent to Sacred Heart Church
immediately following the Mass. We hope to see you there!
