SGS News - Feast of the Precious Blood

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Our schedule for the next two Sundays is as follows. Stay
tuned for any additions to these plans upon the publication of
Pope Benedict’s long awaited Motu Proprio, of which more will
be said in due course!

* Most Precious Blood of Our Lord
Sunday, July 1st. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated by
Fr. Richard Cipolla (St. Mary’s, Stamford). The summer Schola
will sing the the Missa de Angelis, plainsong hymns, and all
the proper Gregorian chants. The second offering will be for the
benefit of the Saint Gregory Society.

* Sixth Sunday after Pentecost
Sunday, July 8th. Low Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated by
Fr. Kevin Fitzpatrick (Holy Cross, Fairfield).

ALL MASSES TAKE PLACE IN SACRED HEART CHURCH,

SGS News - Nativity of St. John the Baptist

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

I have some happy news to relate: just like last year, some
members of the men’s Schola have volunteered to help us
maintain the Gregorian chant at the High Mass over the
summer months. This will continue on a more or less
biweekly basis until the start of our regular fall calendar in
mid-September. The first High Mass of the summer period
will be on July 1st, and the full summer schedule will soon
be available on our website. When it is ready you will be
notified per email. Also, if you know of others who might like
be kept informed of our activities, please encourage them to
join our email list. Needless to say, we hope to see you at
Sacred Heart in the days and weeks ahead!

Sunday, June 24th. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated by

will sing the the Gregorian Mass XI (”Orbis factor”), plainsong
hymns (including the famous office hymn “Ut queant laxis”),
and all the proper Gregorian chants. The second offering will
be for the benefit of the Saint Gregory Society.

SGS News - Feast of the Sacred Heart

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Our calendar for the next two weeks is as follows:

* The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
Sunday, June 17th. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated by
Fr. Richard Cipolla (St. Mary’s, Stamford). The men’s Schola
will sing the Gregorian Mass IX (”Cum iubilo”), plainsong hymns
appropriate for the feast, and all the proper Gregorian chants.
Mass will be followed by the recitation of the Litany of the Sacred
Heart, which will end with Benediction. The second collection will
be for the benefit of Sacred Heart Church.

SGS News - Corpus Christi

Dear Friend of the Saint Gregory Society,

Our Spring calendar ends with three High Masses in
succession starting with the feast of Corpus Christi, which
will be observed this Sunday as an external solemnity. Mass will
be accompanied by a procession and followed by Benediction
of the Blessed Sacrament. We hope to see you there!

* Corpus Christi
Sunday, June 10th. High Mass at 2pm, to be celebrated by
Fr. Richard Cipolla (St. Mary’s, Stamford). The men’s Schola
will sing the Missa de Angelis, Eucharistic motets by Victoria
and others, and all the proper Gregorian chants. The second
collection will be for the benefit of the Saint Gregory Society.
